our team

My name is Juliana Diaz
I am a Colombian architect from the Universidad Piloto de Colombia and a Spanish teacher with studies in ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) from the Universidad del Externado.

I consider myself a multifaceted woman who is creative, charismatic, and constantly eager to learn, grow, and serve humanity. In this context, I founded the first language institute in a beautiful Colombian town called Villa de Leyva, Boyacá, located about three hours northeast of Bogotá.

Villa de Leyva is one of the most touristy destinations in Colombia, known for its stunning Spanish colonial architecture, mountainous backdrop, and expansive central plaza. I quickly realized the need to support the local community, as many were missing out on business opportunities due to a lack of English proficiency, and many children were not receiving adequate educational support.

Therefore, I decided to help by establishing this language institute in Villa de Leyva, so the community could capitalize on foreign tourism by offering better services, and the younger generations could gain confidence and learn a second language.

Part of my methodology incorporated a language exchange between foreigners and locals through the institute, which has been and continues to be a huge success.

Through this work, I saw the power of language and experienced the fulfillment of helping people learn.

Likewise, the contact I had with all these wonderful foreign visitors, as a friend, administrator, owner, and teacher, motivated me to address their need and desire to learn Spanish.

What sets our books and methodology apart from the competition is our focus on local grammar, colloquial language, and a fun approach. Aimed at adults and mature adolescents,

it is easy to understand for all ages. We infuse Latin culture into our content, making it digestible, relatable, and close to reality—far less stiff than traditional educational materials.

We believe in making the learning experience enjoyable and effective for everyone.”
